Pickleball at HPNC

Pickleball is now available at Howick Pakuranga Netball Centre!

We are excited to have recently added 4x dedicated pickleball lines to our netball courts, creating another great way for our community to stay active, social and involved in sport.

Pickleball is a fun, fast-growing racquet sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton and table tennis. It is easy to learn, suitable for a wide range of ages and abilities, and can be played socially or competitively.

Whether you are an experienced player or keen to try pickleball for the first time, our courts are now available to book through Pickleball East Auckland.

What is Pickleball?

Pickleball is played on a smaller court using paddles and a lightweight, perforated ball. Games can be played as singles or doubles, although doubles is the most common format.

It is a great activity for:

  • Friends and family groups
  • Beginners and experienced players
  • Social and competitive players
  • Adults and older children
  • Clubs, workplaces and community groups

Ready to play? All pickleball court bookings at Howick Pakuranga Netball Centre are managed through the Pickleball East Auckland online booking system.

There you can:

  • View available court times
  • Book and pay for your court
  • Find court hire fees
  • Access booking information and conditions
  • Please note: If you wish to play under lights during the evening, an additional lighting fee applies.

Before You Play

Players should bring their own paddles, pickleballs, nets, suitable sports shoes and water bottles unless equipment has been arranged as part of their booking.

Please ensure that:

  • Courts are booked before use
  • Appropriate non-marking sports shoes are worn
  • Players respect other court users and scheduled booking times
  • All rubbish and personal belongings are removed after play
  • Children are appropriately supervised
