Year 7 & 8 Player Development Program

Here at HPNC we offer a year 7 and 8 Player Development Program for 8 weeks. 

HPNC's Year 7 & 8 PDP programme follows the FutureFERNS philosophy and programme. Registrations are strictly through nominations from our affiliated clubs. Players from all clubs come together and play in tournaments accross Auckland.

Woolworths FutureFERNS Year 7 & 8:

Players have developed a considerable understanding of the game, and are now playing seven-a-side. The emphasis is on converting fundamental movement skills to foundation Netball skills. Performance, challenge and ‘playing’ are key motives for this age group. Ensuring positional rotation and playing at least half a game will give each player the opportunity to participate and develop.

PDP is intended to allow players to further their netball skills in a fun and supportive environment, with new players and coaches that differ from their usual Saturday Netball teams. The players then get the opportunity to put these new skills into play at the Year 7 & 8 tournaments and Festival days across Auckland.
